 Leatherwood bespoke ROSIN

The founder of Leatherwood Bespoke Rosin, Andrew Baker, has always been passionate about the colors, textures and flavors of the violin making tradition. Leatherwood Bespoke Rosin has evolved from this passion, offering string players the ability to customize their rosin to their instrument, style and playing context. "The most cost effective way to achieve the greatest sound improvement!"
With fixed formulations and custom blends, definable and noticeable tonal and response characteristics such as attack, clarity, traction and texture can be tailored to their tonal needs.
  • Rosin SUPPLE
The tone of deep and warm sounding instruments gains audible resonance with Supple. Very loud, very bright, or too one-dimensional              sounding instruments can achieve a softer sound with this formula. Supple also has an effect on the bow, allowing a soft and light bow to produce a powerful and focused sound.

  • Rosin CRISP
Instruments with a lot of resonance harmonize with Crisp, it provides more clarity and very direct sound. This blend also helps musicians with less expensive instruments by producing a brighter, more powerful sound and providing better articulation. Bows that are difficult to use to produce a clear and articulate spiccato or sautille also benefit from Crisp.

Rosin

The selection of pine resin is sourced from around the world from ethical pine plantations and distilleries and is blended with local ingredients such as Australian Leatherwood beeswax to produce a rosin with distinct and variable playing characteristics

Wood

Leatherwood sources stunning Australian specialty woods for rosin sheathing. From the golden Huon Pine to the dark and deep-grained Silky Oak, customers can enjoy the diverse colors, textures and grain tones. The innovative case design simplifies application, reduces waste and prevents damage.

Leather

The soft deerskin is sourced from cool-climate deer farms and tanned by hand. The soft deerskin not only feels soft, but also looks gorgeous.
